PhotoMath uses your phone’s camera to solve equations

New app helps students solve math equations.  Now that Wolfram Alpha and MicroBlink make solving complex equations easier, will math teachers harness this to push students towards solving more open-ended real-world problems?  Or will schools try to block the software and consider it “cheating?”

 

MicroBlink’s newly unveiled PhotoMath for iOS and Windows Phone . . .  uses your smartphone’s camera to scan math equations and not only solve them, but show the steps involved.
